horns scurry-flutter,
one note strings buzz, drone & scrape,
drums skitter & pound.
did i imagine
the Cherry-blossom horn, Don?
a Codona touch?
a tiny hint of
a cinematic moment,
now insect chirrups.
a wild breath swings out
but then, inexorably
the timepiece winds down.
